AP PROJECT - Bespoke bronze antique mirror with pattern - Private Residence London, UK

The bespoke pattern also used in other parts of the interior, such as stunning marble floors, was beautifully etched into the glass surface before the creation of these impressive bronze antique mirrors. The technique added depth to the finish and created a very dynamic as well as refined surface that still remained smooth on the outside. 

The result is a very elegant sitting room with a very unique style. All mirrors were customised for the residence with beveled edges, and protected with the ClearShield Eco-System™ to keep them easier to clean and looking pristine.

AP Project - Bespoke Antique Bronze Mirrors create a stunning feature wall

The fully customised bronze ‪#‎antiquemirrors‬ create an outstanding feature wall, wonderfully complementing the black tones of the timber frames and luxurious surrounding gold wall paper.

The hand-crafted mirrors are bevelled and their corners shaped to fit the timber frames. The very large centre mirror was created in one piece only (1280x2600mm), fully bevelled thanks to beautifully executed hand-bevelling in the corners. Cut outs were made to house the wall lights.

Project - Bespoke Antique Bronze Mirrors - Private Residence London, UK.

Stunning hand-crafted antique bronze mirrors that add elegance and character to the luxurious and sophisticated interiors of this grand house. Their tone beautifully complements the dark wood frames lining the corridors, cleverly reflecting fabulous marble floors and an impressive staircase.

All mirrors were customised for the residence, with beveled edges and cut outs for sockets, and protected with the ClearShield Eco-System™ to keep them easier to clean and looking pristine. Our complete service included site-measurements and installation.

Tea Trees & Cake Stands - Mandarin Oriental, London, UK

Alguacil & Perkoff supplied these exquisite and custom made Tea Trees & Cake Stands for traditional afternoon tea at The Rosebery, the Mandarin Oriental’s new tea room, Hyde Park, Knightsbridge. 

Located in one of London’s most fashionable destinations, they were conceived for the 5 star hotel by GA Design International and created in partnership with the Design Foundry. They required a creation that was elegant, modern, and provided a unique experience. 

Using a sketch from GA Design as their starting point, the development work carried out by our specialist partner included form, texture, finish and functionality. The Tea Trees were indeed required to be very stable, but also light enough to be easily moved by the staff. The Cake Stands, designed to resemble a cage, were required to hang gracefully but safely to avoid swinging.

The Tea Trees were sand cast and finished with a delicate texture and patina. The leaves have highlighted edges giving the elements an extra organic finish, movement and sensibility. The brass cake stands were also sand cast with a beautiful and unique texture before being nickel-plated. The mandarins hanging from the branches were cast in glass. 

 The result are stunning sculptural elements that each represent a piece of art in their own right, to the great satisfaction of the Mandarin Oriental and GA Design. GA Design went on to win the prestigious award of best Interior Design for Café Bar or All-Day Dining at the 2014 European Hotel Design Awards for the project.
